April Showers didn't wait for the degree, the perfect résumé, the money, the connections, or permission to begin. From walking into Los Angeles City Hall at fourteen to building businesses, landing a million-dollar real estate deal, creating Afro Unicorn®, entering major retail, and becoming a published author, she consistently stepped into rooms before she had proof that she belonged there.
Never Qualified is a collection of personal stories about what can happen when belief comes before proof.
But this isn't just April's story. Throughout the book, intimate Reader Reflections invite you to turn the lesson back on yourself.
Through "Reader Reflections" you'll be challenged to examine your own fears, recognize opportunities, and see what's possible when you stop waiting until you feel ready.
This isn't a roadmap for following April's path. It's an invitation to believe more boldly in your own.
- You may not have the qualifications yet.
- You may not know how it's going to happen.
- You can still start walking.
